SOUTHWEST QUADRANT/HERRIMAN GROWTH ▸Herriman, Bluffdale and South Jordan projected to grow 198%, 191% and 118% respectively between 2010 and 2050 ▸Young population with strong educational goals ▸Campus critical to education and economic goals of local community/state ▸Area represents some of the last buildable acreage for vital support services that a higher education institution can provide ▸Purchase of 90 acres in Herriman designed to meet needs of growing population
- 6. ▸Prepared to move forward with construction of 80,000 square-foot building that will be the cornerstone of development activity ▸Worked closely with local community and legislative representatives to identify needs of community ▸SLCC will immediately be able to serve 1,069 students (head count) ▸Students served at Herriman Campus will continue to soar to estimated 3,182 by 2025 (head count) ▸Groundwork laid for an innovative educational partnership SOUTHWEST QUADRANT/HERRIMAN GROWTH

- 8. Herriman City is extremely excited about the possibility of a Salt Lake Community College campus located within our community. With the reputation established as a quality educational institution, this campus would provide a new abundance of educated employees to the vast workforce, while also serving as an economic development driver within the surrounding Business and Technology Center. - 10. FUNDING REQUEST ▸ $47.2 million from Utah State Legislature for construction ▸ $9.9 million land acquisition by Salt Lake Community College in 2011
