Preparation/Participation Initiatives • Regents’ Scholarship • Encourages academic rigor in high school • Continued Growth • 2008: 196 recipients (1st year of program) • 2011: 1,002 recipients • Has impact on students: • Higher GPA • Heavier course loads • Almost no remediation (<2% of recipients) • New Century Scholarship • Students earn Associates Degree in higher school • 100-300 recipients/year
