With the latest advancements in this field, scientists are developing the state-of-the-art tools and products to address pressing needs in the areas of energy, environment and sustainability. Keeping in view the significance of nanotechnology and its application, a seminar in collaboration with State University of New York, Albany, USA is being organized by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. This 2 day seminar is intended to disseminate the current advancements and challenges in the development of multifunctional Nanotechnology tools in the major areas such as energy, environment and health. This initiative will further provide a platform for discussing the potential changes in the national energy mix and how nanotechnology partnerships in the academic and industry fields could potentially lead to innovation and invention, ultimately leading to a low carbon pathway. This platform will also bring together all the common stakeholders who will brainstorm on the crucial issues pertaining to theory, process, and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship in the of Nano-science and Nano-technology domain. It is around 25km from the city center (Ghanta-ghar) and 9 km from Nanda Ki Chowki on Chakrata Road. The organizing committee of the symposium will also make necessary arrangements to pick up delegates from their hotels or guest houses. DEHRADUN WEATHER Dehradun is situated in the foot hills of Himalayas and has a pleasant weather during mid-August, with the average high temperature being 29 C and average low being 22 C. This season is also marked by often heavy and protracted rainfall. Cotton clothes and all weather suits are suitable for the season. It is preferable to carry an umbrella or a rain-coat.
