Chapter 11 Project: Gift Boxes Chapter 11 Project: Gift Boxes Presentation Transcript

    • Draw a circle with 3cm radius
    • Draw a diameter
    • Bisect the diameter using the compass. Do not comment on my arcs!
    • Place the end of the compass on one point, and with it set at 3cm, draw an arc
    • Repeat step for other point.
    • Where they bisect is the center of the new circle. Just create the circle with 3cm radius.
    • To create the diameters of the other circle, I just used the ruler and drew a line between the point of the circle and the center.
    • Repeat :P
      • To create the rest of the congruent arcs within the circle, basically just use the steps where you created the new circle. You don’t have to draw the entire circle, of course, and use the compass set at 3 cm.
    • This should be how to turns out in the end, with the congruent arcs on the inside of course. Then just cut around the edges and fold. The end! To the area…
      • To find the area of the figure, Ms. Burns drew this. I believe I understand it, but I can’t explain it. Decipher the image! xD
