I CHOSE THIS BOOK BECAUSE… It was a short book It had a sad beginning but in the end … (not going to tell you the end) I felt like crying after I read the book

Reading strategies Text to world I checked Google maps so I can find out if San Pablo, Guatemala is a real place and the way the author described it. Text to self This reminded me about the street children that were abandoned by their parents.

There’s a Cause & Effect. The cause was when Juan’s mother fell in love and the effect was when Juan was kicked out of the house.
