1. Choice of Genre
My choice of genre that I have chosen in Rap as it reflect the music I listen to and I believe
that female are not the spotlight image of rap as males are currently dominating the rap
industry . So, I decided to come up with an artist that would reflect my chosen genre and also
reflect female power.
I believe that rap is a very successful genre as more and more rap artists are evolving.
Unfortunately , most of them seem to be males but hopefully by introducing a brand new rap
artist, more and more female will be inspired and will follow this pathway.
The current female rap artist who is dominating the rap industry is Nicki Minaj as she shows
so much sexual imagery and her music is catchy and she is the only current female artist out
there.
My artist will follow the conventions of current rap artists as she will wear costumes that
signify genre and reflect the rap industry such as high heels and sexual imagery.
