The 2013 Scion iQ is perfect for the city driver. Toyota of N Charlotte has stacked this new Scion up against a competitor model - check out where the Scion iQ throws it's punches. We know it's sure to impress!
1. The 2013 Scion iQ takes on the Smart ForTwo!
Small cars are making a comeback! We have many customers that come in looking for small, fuel efficient
cars and we have a few to choose from. Scion is known for its sporty cars like the 2013 Scion tC and the
new 2013 Scion FR-S. But did you know Scion also offers a small car with excellent fuel economy? Enter
the 2013 Scion iQ – it’s the perfect city car!
The N Charlotte Scion iQ provides power and fuel efficiency!
It may seem strange for Scion to provide this option, but to prove its power; we’ve chosen to compare it to
the Smart ForTwo! While SmartCars are known for being diminutive and great on gas, let’s see how the
unsuspecting new Scion measures up!
When you’re looking for a small car, you don’t want to sacrifice performance. The 2013 Scion iQ in N
Charlotte won’t let you down:
It has a bigger and more powerful engine. It has a 94-horsepower engine compared to the Smart
ForTwo’s 70-horsepower. You’re sure to feel a difference on the road.
Just because the engine is more powerful, doesn’t mean it uses more gasoline. In fact the Scion iQ gets
an estimated 36 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. The Smart ForTwo only achieves 34 mpg in
the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
You’ll have enough room for four adults!
For many NC drivers it’s not practical to have two cars. Maybe someday the American paycheck will allow
for two cars: one for commuting and one for the family. Until then, we will have to pick and choose wisely.
When you purchase a new Scion in N Charlotte, it needs to be practical.
The 2013 Scion iQ is on the small side, but you can still take passengers with you. It can seat
four passengers! The Smart ForTwo is only for two.
2. This new Scion is also bigger! The passenger space equals 73.8 cubic feet; the Smart ForTwo
isn’t so smart with just 53.2 cubic feet of space.
Another important point is safety. When you’re driving any car, safety is always a priority. Scion makes it
a key element in each of its cars. The Star Safety System is found in the N Charlotte Scion iQ. It’s
standard equipment – there’s no need to ask for it. There’s also a comprehensive airbag system:
The Scion iQ has a total of 11 airbags – this is more than any small car in its class.
The Smart ForTwo only has eight.
Our last question: which would you drive? If you need one last advantage, keep in mind all of the
customization options Scion offers. We have a full Scion Parts Department in N Charlotte, with all of the
Scion parts you could ever need!
Tack on a rear spoiler for superior style.
Add in fog lights.
Apply paint protection film to keep your new Scion fresh.
Mudguards can also be applied to keep the dirt off of your car!
