  • 2. Wellness Dayintroduction In April The Townhouse hosted their first wellness day for their staff. We had various providers join us on the day. The following services were made available to our staff who attended - HIV/Aids testing, Eye Screening, Green CrossWe have a small committee of shoes, Fitness Instructor, hand and neck massage by Light and Healing; we had a nursing sister on board who tested6 staff that meets regularly sugar levels, blood pressure and cholesterol and finallyto plan and focus on our staff Sh’zen pampered the staff with hand and food massage.wellness.Employee wellnessStationery School Packs and assistancewith school uniforms for their children.In January we assist and support ourstaff with back to school stationery packs.We supply them with brown paper,plastic and cellotape. This year we assistthe employees with purchasing school Sister Sue (Nurse) Provides the staff with: Familyuniforms during winter and summer by planning / testing of sugar leveldonating R150.00 per child. cholesterol, blood pressure And Sister Sue refers the staff to medical doctors, if needed. Coaching/Counselling We have two managers that are trained Trauma Counsellors and they support our staff after a traumatic experience. We have also made available to all our Supervisors a coach who guides and mentors them in certain developmental areas.
  • 3. Training Blood donation One the 14 June, World Blood Donor day, all staff participatedWe have 100 permanent in finding out what blood group they belong to. The next stepand permanent part time is to get WPBTS to have a caravan on-site for our staff tostaff and allocated 4% donate blood. Part of this project is to get nearby businesses toof our nett profit towards participate in donating From the 4%we have allocated 2%towards a strong focuson experience economy.The aim of this project isto not only improve ourguest experience butalso enhance our cultureand staff experience.This will be done throughvarious training initiatives,hosting café conversationand a reward systemto recognize goodperformance that is in line Education Assistant Internal job rotationwith enhancing our guest Policy Our aim this year is to getexperience. The Group has implemented a staff to assist and rotate in other departments to gain new Group employee education experience. Currently we assistance policy that aims are using Room Attendants at nurturing, promoting the in the morning as Waiters education of our staff and their in our restaurant and after family. The purpose of the 10h00 they go back into policy is to assist employees Housekeeping. We also rotate with further studies, assist their our staff in the Kitchen to gain children to study further and experience in all areas and not also assist the employees with only what they specialize in. purchasing school uniforms for their children.
