Walking Your Talk at Green Timbers Park takes you on a Journey through time. Mostly flat trails meander through an incredibly diverse habitats including: wetlands, grassy meadows, a marsh, a rainbow trout stocked lake all nestled within a beautiful second growth forest.

An Urban Forest, Green Timbers is the birthplace of reforestation in BC. Huge stumps from old growth trees remind us that nothing is ever wasted; that all life evolves in cycles of birth, growth and decline. New beginnings spring to life supported by wisdom gained through past experiences. What seeds of inspiration and wisdom are you sowing into the fodder of your daily experience?

Escape the cacophony of city living and tune your senses to the sounds of nature. Immerse yourself in a vibrant calm that amplifies your inner knowing voice. Let your imagination take flight like the eagle, contemplate the meaning of life from the perspective of an owl, let the woodpeckers and flickers move you into new and exciting rhythms.

Are you Walking Your Talk? At the end of the day do you feel good about what you've accomplished? Do you feel good about who you are being? Do you want to feel better? Is there an urging emerging in you? Let's take a walk and talk about it.

Notes
  • I love how nature assists me when I'm coaching a client while walking in Green Timbers Urban Forest. Yesterday many of the walking trails my client chose were flooded and we needed to be mindful of where we stepped and creative in getting past the lake-like puddles without getting soaked. Nature was helping us realize that this same mindfulness and creativity needed to be applied to the current issues we were talking about resolving.
