  • 2. Objectives: • You will learn the basics the basics of html htmlRequirements: • Notepad
  • 3. Step 1First you will need to open up notepad youcan do this by going to start->all programs->accessories->notepad
  • 4. Step 2Once you have notepad open click onformat and then on word warp. This willmake it easier on you.
  • 5. Step 3Start typing in <html>.HTML stands for hypertext markup language. This is known as atag <>. The html tag is essential. Then pressenter Always press enter after you donewith a line. It makes the coding neater andeasier to find mistakes or areas you want toedit later.
  • 6. Step 4Once you have done that type in the headtag. The head tag is <head>.
  • 7. Step 5Next step is to type <title> “the name ofyour page"</title>. That is the title tag.Theforward-slash is important because it statesthe end of the tag
  • 8. Step 6Alright next you type </head>. It isimportant to make sure you put this afterthe title tag
  • 9. Step 7Next is the body tag. This is the body tag<body>. The body tag is where you type inthe things you want on your website.
  • 10. Step 8If you want to make paragraphs. You willneed to use the <p> tag.
  • 11. Step 9After you have everything you want in thebody you will need to use the end tag. Theend consist of the regular tag with a slash.For example </body>
  • 12. Step 10This is an important step. After you are donewith the body you will need to end the html.To do this you will need to use the </html>tag.
