    Second-largest organ
    Helps break down the lipids
    Stores iron, vitamin B12 and copper
  • 8. Stomach
    Digest proteins or food
    Located at the bottom of the chest
    Helps break down the food smaller
  • 9. Gall Bladder
    Store bile
    Small pear-shaped organ
    Helps break down fats
  • 10. Large Intestine
    Absorbs certain vitamins
    Reabsorbs water
    Maintains the fluid balance of the body
  • 11. Small Intestine
    Sucks up nutrients through the villi and
    the micro cilli
    Digests fats, carbohydrates,
    and proteins
    Longest portion of the
    digestive tract.
  • 12. Rectum
    Stores solid waste
    Opening releases waste also known as the anus
    Final part of the large intestine
