  • Introduction
    • In this slideshow I am to show how I have researched some forms of film distribution in the UK.
    • I will hopefully come to some conclusion on which is the best distribution method in the UK
  • Cinema
    • There is a sudden mass market of IMAX and IMAX 3D films being released
    • My piece was not filmed in IMAX or 3D, however Cinema has allowed some of the smallest budget films to turn into massive hits (Such as “District 9” and “Paranormal Activity”)
    • I will now look into cinema distribution methods

    • On top of Cinema, many companies also distribute in the form of DVD, sometimes without bringing the film out in cinema first.
  • Summary
    • I have researched into the distribution methods of films in the UK, and I have found that there is a mass industry in distribution. Some companies are better known than others, and some have a “big break” with certain films.
    • I have come to the conclusion that Cinema is the best way to distribute, with a DVD release later in the year, this has shown to make money and has also shown to have a good effect on the distributors.
