  • 1. An Introduction to Loadhog And the Loadhog Lid
  • 2. Loadhog Lid
    • Overview
    • Plastic pallet lid with inbuilt retractable straps
    • Secures a pallet load in seconds
    • Eliminates the need to use disposable wrapping or banding
  • 3. How it works…
  • 4. Loadhog Lid
    • Eliminates stretch wrapping
    • A materials saving for the supplier
    • A waste disposal saving for the end user
    • Reduces labour
    • It takes 17 seconds to apply a lid, an efficient automated wrapping machine still requires someone to supervise the pallet for a minimum 2 minutes
    • It takes a similar amount of time to remove the lid
    • Facilitates double stacking
    • The lid spreads the load evenly, allowing stable double stacking
    • Each lid has raised upstands on the top, which locate on the underside of a standard pallet to eliminate movement in transit
  • 5. Loadhog Lid vs. Seatbelt Pallet
    • Advantage of Loadhog Lid
    • Enhances load stability and security by ‘clamping’ the load to the pallet
    • Allows you to lower the pallet cost throughout supply chain
    • No bending is required to secure the load
    • Loadhog Lid
    • Uses a spring loaded ratchet mechanism
    • Can be used with any pallet
    • Mechanism located at shoulder height in lid
    • Seatbelt Pallet
    • Uses an inertia spring mechanism
    • Is used only with specialised lid
    • Mechanism located at foot height in pallet
