Most people have hundreds of contacts on Linkedin from different companies, industries and points in their career.

Which means the information you want to share with them won't always be the same.

By using the 'Tag' feature, you can segment your network of Linkedin contacts and deliver customised messages to different types of contact more quickly and easily than ever.

For more information on how you can get more leads from Linkedin in 3 easy steps, contact Tom Mallens on www.Linkedin.com/in/tommallens, tom@tommallens.com, +44 (0)1926 678 920 or follow me on Twitter at @TomMallens.

  • 1. How  to  manage  your  Linkedin   contacts  like  a  marketing  pro         Most  people  are  connected  to  a  large  mix  of  different  types  of   business  contacts  on  Linkedin  –  usually  at  least  300  or  more.     3. Which means the information you want to communicate to each type of contact won’t always be the same for each group of people. Linkedin lets you segment your contacts into categories depending on the criteria that are most important to you and your business marketing.   5.  Just  use  the  ‘Tag’  function  to  organise  your  contacts.     6.  You  can  find  it  on   your  connections’   profile  pages  next  to   their  contact  info.     7.  You  can  choose  names  for  your  tags  depending  on  how  you  want   to  sub-‐divide  your  network;  for  example  ‘potential  customers’.       By  going  to  the  Linkedin  ‘Contacts’  menu,  you  can  then  filter  your   contacts  according  to  the  tag  you  want  and  send  a  customised  bulk   message  to  up  to  50  of  them  at  a  time.     9.  Which  means   you  can  deliver   highly  targeted   information  to   sub-‐groups  of   your  business   network  more  quickly  and  easily  than  ever!   1.   2. 4 . 8.   Helping  you  get  more  leads  from  Linkedin  in  3  easy  steps   W:  tommallens.com   E:  tom@tommallens.com   T:  01926  678  920                      M:  07917  005  938                      @TomMallens   From  potential  customers  and   colleagues,  to  contacts  in   completely  different  industries.
