  • 1. How to Use the Editor Bar
  • 2. The editor bar allows you tomanipulate text and formatting inmuch the same way you can in a Word document....
  • 3. (Once you have logged in and are on the pageyou want to edit) left-click the EDIT button in the top right hand corner.
  • 4. By selecting the text and clicking theappropriate button at the left of the editor bar, you can bold, italicise or underline it. Keyboard shortcuts used in Word (eg Ctrl + B for bold) also apply.
  • 5. The ‘Style Text’ button...
  • 6. ... allows you to modify font, text- size, background colour, and alignment....
  • 7. Click the ‘Apply Styles’ button when you’re done.
  • 8. To make a heading, highlight the relevanttext and select from the drop-down menu where ‘Normal’ is the default.
  • 9. Heading 2 Heading 3On Clio, we make page headings (eg. the title of an essay) a ‘Heading 2’ and sub-headings a ‘Heading 3’.
  • 10. Click the ‘Save’ button at the far right of the Editor Bar.
