Given the importance of a company blog in terms of growing web traffic, generating new leads and establishing thought leadership, you might be forgiven for thinking most marketers would make blogging a priority.
We surveyed 802 people from the US, UK and Canada in July/August 2013 to find out the real truth of the matter. Just how many marketers can really keep an updated blog?
The results were rather shocking. 70% of marketers said they were unable to keep an updated blog, of more than 3 posts a year.
Given that the benefits of blogging are well understood amongst marketers, and that 3 blog posts a year is not a very high benchmark, it is very surprising that marketers are failing so spectacularly at this.
