Dyslexia, ADHD and Eye-Tracking
Using Eye-Tracking we want to see, if there are differences in the visual patterns between children suffering from Dyslexia and/ or ADHD ( Attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder and normal children.
Our questions:
How can we use Eye-Tracking to discover visual patterns in children
What stimuli could be interesting (reading, pictures etc.)

What Theories exist around Dyslexia and ADHD?
Little is known about those medical conditions. There are several theories, which identify different problems and causes.
Visual problems are one theory beside auditive and mental causes.

Aim of the Study:
analysing visual patterns of children during visual tasks
analysing possible differences in visual behaviour between children with dyslexia, children with ADHD and normal children
help develop a pre-school dyslexia diagnosis lab test
help develop/optimise existing therapeutic approaches

The experiment

Setting:
2 Pretests
Testing in occupational therapy center with 6 children (different diagnosis or strength of symptoms)
Testing in school with 10 children
Interviews with therapists and teachers

The stimuli

1: Text
Different reading levels need to be considered
We used normal text, text with mistakes, text/words without sense, text with missing words
