    • Draft  Agenda       The  Ghana  Investment  Forum  2014     “Where  investors  meet  politicians  and  companies  to  drive  successful  FDI”     A  one-­‐day  conference,  19th  June  2014,  Adelaide  House,  London  Bridge,  London  EC4R  9HA   Sponsored  by:       This  unique  one  day  event  brings  together  some  leading  politicians,  CEOs  and  business  leaders,   investors  and  expert  commentators,  to  discuss  how  investment  conditions  are  evolving  in  Ghana  and   the  key  issues  that  will  drive  successful  –  and  sustainable  –  investments  which  will  deliver  for  both   Ghana  and  foreign  investors       The  audience  will  be  a  mixture  of  investors,  companies  and  other  interested  parties.  Non-­‐keynote   sessions  will  be  held  off  the  record  under  the  Chatham  House  Rule.       The  conference  will  take  place  in  two  parts:  A  morning  section  to  cover  the  big  issues  and  macro   perspective,  followed  by  an  afternoon  session  of  closed  door  private  breakout  groups,  each  led  by  a   senior  minister  or  leading  investor/company  in  that  particular  sector.

    •     Forum  Agenda  –  19th  June  2014     7.30  –  9.00   INVITATION-­‐ONLY  BREAKFAST  FOR  FUND  MANAGERS  AND  INVESTORS     Before  the  conference  begins  Innovation  Forum  will  host  a  breakfast  discussion  for  a  limited  number   of  investors  to  meet  speakers  in  a  closed-­‐door  session.       9.15  Conference  begins:  Welcome  Remarks  by  Innovation  Forum  founder  Tobias  Webb  followed  by   an  introduction  by  conference  chair  Professor  Wayne  Dunn     OPENING  REMARKS:  High  Commissioner,  Ghana  High  Commission  in  the  UK     In  these  opening  remarks  Ghana’s  High  Commissioner  in  the  UK  will  discuss  how  Ghana’s  place  as  an   investment  centre  for  West  Africa  is  evolving  and  offer  an  overview  of  the  key  opportunities  for   investors.  This  will  be  followed  by  Q&A.     9.30     GOVERNMENT  OPENING  KEYNOTE  ADDRESS:       Ghana’s  competitive  advantage  as  an  investment  destination  in  West  Africa   Hon  Haruna  Iddrisu,  Minister  of  Trade  and  Industry  will  discuss  Ghana’s  general  business   environment  and  sectors  where  sustainable  and  profitable  opportunities.  There  will  also  be  a  focus   on  how  the  country  plans  to  maximise  these  opportunities  for  investors  and  will  seek  to  manage  risk   in  2014.  This  will  be  followed  by  Q&A.   10.00     THE  INVESTOR  AND  COMPANY  PERSPECTIVE:  LIVE  INTERVIEWS  ON  STAGE  WITH  THREE  EXECUTIVES       We’ll  ask  some  leading  players  to  comment  on  two  key  questions  and  then  have  discussion:   1)  Is  Ghana’s  institutional  framework  meeting  the  priorities  of  international  investors?   2)  Which  are  the  top  sectors  investors  are  looking  at  in  Ghana’s  economy  –  where  are  the   opportunities  for  growth?
