  • Plantronics has built a world-class team of industrial designers that come from some of the world’s most prestigious brands including, BMW, Fiat, Nike, Nokia and Motorola. The Plantronics Design team is breaking new ground in headset and personal communication device design, ensuring that Plantronics products are comfortable, easy to use and gorgeous to the eye. The Plantronics Design team continues to set new standards in the industry for headset design and function. For example, the Plantronics Discovery 640 headset (pictured) won the prestigious iF global award in 2006 for its innovative design. To accommodate Plantronics’ growing design team and product work, in 2007 the company will open a new ID center at its headquarters in Santa Cruz, Calif. The Plantronics Design team is led by Darrin Caddes, vice president of Corporate Design. Prior to joining Plantronics, Darrin held senior design positions at some of the world’s most prestigious automotive and motorcycle brands including, Indian Motorcycle, BMW and Fiat.
