  • 1. Siebel Business Analyst JOB DESCRIPTION – SIEBEL BUSINESS ANALYST ABOUT THE LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION The LTA is the governing body for Tennis in Britain. DELIVERING THE BLUEPRINT The Blueprint for British tennis sets out our vision, direction and plans for the future of the sport in this country. The Blueprint covers all aspects of British tennis and provides a framework for the direction in which we are heading. Our vision for British tennis is ‘Winning’ , this means British players winning Slams, ATP, WTA, ITF and Tennis Europe tournaments and, ultimately, the Davis Cup and Federation Cup. To achieve this we will focus on three drivers: 1. Getting the best coaches working with the best talent in the best facilities 2. Providing the best technical and sports science support and advice in the most accessible way, to the right people when they need it 3. Establishing a straightforward, high quality competitive framework that gives juniors the stimulus they need to get on, and stay on, the winning pathway We will measure our success by: 1. Number of players in the Top 100 2. Number of 13-21 year-old players on track for the Top 100 3. Number of regularly competing juniors TEAM CONTEXT The LTA IT Team has aligned development, technical, and business services in support of the Blueprint. A revised structure reflects our overall purpose, the direction we are setting for the sport and the needs of players, coaches, clubs and LTA Colleagues. The IT Team aims to deliver excellent standards of “customer service” responding quickly and effectively with true personal ownership and responsibility. It will do this by providing effective support, development of projects meeting business requirements, and providing accurate and relevant management information services. This role will provide business analysis and data quality support to users, and deliver appropriate training as required. The team works in partnership with teams across the organisation and external stakeholders to transform British tennis, that is, to maximise our potential and increase the number of British players competing and winning within the top 100. Siebel Business Analyst JOB PURPOSE To translate and document business requirements into functional IT solutions, and provide 1st and 2nd line support to Siebel users in understanding the policy and management of quality of data DIMENSIONS Grade 3 Competency Level 2 Hours of work 35 hours per week as required with extensive national travel involved Department IT Location National Tennis Centre, Roehampton Reports to Siebel Technical Lead Direct reports None Budgetary responsibility None ACCOUNTABILITIES To work closely with key Siebel users to capture, assess, document and translate business requirements into functional IT specifications To use process, functional and data analysis to create detailed functional IT designs and specifications To act as a first line support contact to Siebel users in understanding the policy and management of quality of data To maintain the quality of the data in all aspects of the Siebel system To coordinate and manage the removal of duplicate data within the system To provide training on the basics and best practice of Siebel use and produce guides for Siebel users To work with the business users to ensure they are satisfied with the solution and documents a list of any enhancements To support the release process by providing and organising user testing of each new release To act as a data quality and business process focus for internal customers in the operation and delivery of Siebel CRM solution To document and maintain a list of enhancements gathered from business users To participate and organise others to carry out testing of new enhancements as part of the release process To manage incident and problem resolution between Siebel users and Siebel support and development To align work with others in the team to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer service ethos, in line with organisational strategy To provide outstanding customer service, responding quickly with true personal ownership and responsibility GENERAL REQUIREMENTS To be an ambassador for the new vision of British tennis both internally and externally communicating and promoting the vision and direction of the LTA with passion To build, manage and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships and communication within the organisation and work in partnership with other team members LTA Human Resources 3

Siebel Business Analyst To support the team manager in business planning and budgeting activities and manage allocated budgets To make suggestions to improve the working situation within own area of work and the LTA as a whole To cooperate with measures introduced to ensure there is Equality of Opportunity To comply with all aspects of the LTA’s Health and Safety Policy and arrangements PERSON SPECIFICATION TECHNICAL SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Essential At least 2 years experience in a Siebel 7.x (including Siebel Call Center) Business Analyst role, which must include the capture, assessment, documentation and translation of business requirements into functional IT specifications Thorough knowledge of the Siebel 7 product as an advanced user including data administration functions At least 18 months experience of providing Siebel application support to end users, including: o 1st and 2nd line support o High level business process mapping and review o Facilitating user workshops o Managing small projects o Conducting train-the-trainer and end user training sessions Experience in creating test scenarios and organising and carrying out UAT Experience of Project Administration and Project Management Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in succinct business terms without the use of technical jargon A satisfactory CRB disclosure Desirable Siebel 7.x Business Analyst Certified Prince II Foundation/Practitioner Certification Full project lifecycle delivery experience Experience in the use of UML, process modelling and Workflow A good understanding of systems architecture concepts, principles and solutions Knowledge of tennis, sport or membership organisations CORE COMPETENCIES Please refer to competency catalogue LTA Human Resources 4
