• Sheri Use of external resources – partnering with other schools and transporting to off-site events
• Maureen Students in all majors have the opportunity to participate in a work-experience. In many cases it is a required part of the curriculum. Each college, program, & campus has different options based on the curriculum. Some compensated & some not – de-emphasize compensation --The focus of messaging should be on the fact that students have opportunity to complete internships (no need to try to distinguish the structure or format by major) – all internships have learning objectives and the majority are full time, 40 hours/week. -we want students and families to understand early in the process that our focus is on the learning experience and the skills gained from the internship; we urge families and students to plan ahead financially for the term of ex ed so the student can focus on gaining the most learning and experience possible.
• Maureen -This represents work-experience program participation across all campuses and colleges/schools -This data signifies the enormous commitment JWU has to preparing students for their careers -Most work-experiences take place in the sophomore and senior years
