  • 1. The Keys to a Successful Implementation of Any Product Time & Attendance Management
  • 2. Customization 2 • Time & Attendance Management Software is not “one size fits all” • A worthwhile solution will adjust to the way you operate - not vice versa • You can judge a solution by it’s installation process • Look for Vendors who ask a lot of good questions and do a lot more listening than speaking
  • 3. 3 Seek to Understand • Ask Questions: • If a Vendor is selling the features of their solution without first clearly understanding your circumstances, look for a new Vendor • Ask each Vendor about their implementation PROCESS – if they cannot clearly articulate the steps to a successful implementation, move on • Process should be easy to understand and clearly stated
  • 4. 4 Implementation vs. Technology • The 80/20 Rule: • 80% Implementation. • 20% Technology • Invest in quality implementation - not technology • Technology will change and evolve – any good Vendor will adjust and update as needed
  • 5. 5 Test, Test, Test • The key to user adoption: do not use your users to Beta Test an implementation – they lose confidence in the system and the initiative is doomed to mediocrity • Be sure the system is fully functional before going live
  • 6. 6 • Customize the training process! • Training must be specific to your application – to the way you use the time & attendance management solution • One sure way to lose user interest is to train them on issues that do not apply or features that you have not selected to emphasize A Word about Training
