This is a 30-minute marketing keynote I gave to a group of business owners from the boating and marine industry at the Sandringham Yacht Club in December 2013. The event was part of the International Sailing Federation's World Cup and there were about 80 businesses represented.

The premis of this marketing keynote - like many of my marketing talks - was simple. It's all about the fact that there has never been a better time to market a small business. Ever!

Once I share that bit of good news, I then spend the balance of my allocated time showing my audience why this is true and how they can jump on the marketing gravy train!

In this particular marketing keynote, I cover the following topics:

- My practical definition of marketing.
- The importance of branding.
- How Google works.
- A concept I call marketing voyeurism.
- Pull versus push marketing - and which is better.
- The power of content marketing.
- How to set up a video marketing strategy.
- Podcasting as a marketing tool.

- And I finish by introducing the concept of a virtual marketing team - AKA the importance of outsourcing.
