    • Network with people in the public relations & communications
    • establish a credible reputation because in PR that’s all we have
    • Ideal job: event planner or PR person for non-profit organizations

  • 4. Objectives
    • Measurements: Get a gold star from the PRSSA i.e.: (get on the E-board)
    • Do two or more internships
    • Execute the Student Development Conference successfully
    • Attain a BA in Public Relations in December 2010
    • Further education by attaining a masters degree in PR
    • “ What I want to accomplish professionally is either becoming a big time event planner for corporations or maybe even owning my on event planning company or own PR firm.”
    • “ I want employers to see what a hard worker I am. I want to be able to show them that I’m driven passionate dependable and capable through my actions.”
  • 5. SWAT Analysis Strengths : Work effectively under pressure and deadlines. Superior oral and written communication skills. Weaknesses : Organization skills. Tendency to take On to Much at one time. Opportunities : Internships PRSA conferences Education Speakers for PRSSA meetings Threats: Social media is constantly changing.
  • 6. Online Presence
    • Not being active in social media is not on option in public relations. PR is all about communicating with the public and other organizations be any and ever means necessary. Since social media is prevalent in every day life it is necessary to be involved in it as well.

  • 7. Key Message
    • “ My brand will represent me in a way to show how passionate I am about what I’m doing. It will show the focus I have on social media and my focus on non-profit organizations and community service.
    • Social media will allow potential employers to get a feel for who I am as a person without having to speak with me.
    • All in all this brand needs to be attractive, inviting and an informative first impression.”
  • 8. Successful Strategies
    • Follow people on twitter and Facebook in the industry that I want to be in, usually when you follow them they follow back.
    • I would post on there walls and respond to there posts.
    • Also I would get more involved with networking on LinkedIn

    • Long Term:
    • Further my education by obtaining a masters in PR
    • Find a job with a non-profit organization
