  • My journey with Silpada has been an Incredible one, This company had changed my life. It has brought me Confidence, Life Long Friendships and Financial Stability . Like many of you, I started with No Sales Experience or Training! There was No Manual, Sales Coaches, Customer Service Reps or Trainers on board! But what there WAS….were 3 incredible people B,T and Jerry who shared a VISION, PASSION and BEAUTIFUL SS Jewelry that EXCITED me THEN and still DOES to this day! I knew then, this COMPANY and PEOPLE were EXTRAORDINARY and GOOD things would come of it! I took a LEAP of FAITH when I found Silpada. I knew NOTHING when I started but have LEARNED many LESSONS along the way! I tell people it’s like anything you do in life. You try something NEW, WORK HARD at it, are CONSISTENT with it and GOOD things will come from it. After all, my journey is not MAGICAL it’s LOGICAL and ANYONE can get there, if YOU WANT TO ENOUGH .
  • No money cutting coupons – Didn&apos;t bow well for me! Hanging out at McDonalds 4 days a week, Realized I needed “me time” and cash! Sister–in-law shared me a catalog No money to start and my Husband Doug showed me the way. Do your work before you join! Book 6 shows at $750 pay off your investment and have $350 profit! My training was this from B &amp; T “ just go and have fun, drink wine, and put jewelry on women and you’ll do great! The jewelry will truly sell itself and boy were they ever RIGHT! Business built on 3 shows a week and my confidence grew along the way!
  • So let me move on, and NOW share with you some LESSONS I’ve LEARNED along the way LESSION #1 FIND YOUR VISION
  • There were 4 KEY PEOPLE that helped me FIND MY VISION for my Business. The 1 st , my husband, Doug who tried for the 1 1/2 to show me the BIGGER picture BEYOND Selling Jewelry (BUT DONT LISTEN to our husbands!) He Would SAY: “ Ginny there is so much more to this business than selling jewelry, you love what you do, why don’t you share it with others?” I DID’NT GET IT…. you see my NEEDS were being FULLFILLED, I was having FUN, Getting Out, Making MORE MONEY than I EVER had, So Why Would I need Anything Else? It wasn’t until My 1 st Silpada Conference (Which by the way only had 25 people at) that I met….. 2nd person that CHANGED the way I LOOKED at my business. Her name…LeAnn Mallot , who is still is a Representative to this day and I call a FRIEND. I watched her WALK Stage SEVERAL times and kept saying to myself “ I WANT TO BE HER” HOW DOES SHE DO IT? That evening, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Sue Rusch, A Direct Sales Expert, our Conference speaker that year. Who was…. 3rd Person that HELPED me FIND MY VISION. I said to her: “ I don’t get it?, how to you get to be that girl…. Leann Mallot?” I remember she said to me “Ginny out of 25 woman in this room, she is the ONLY one that does Get It. I said: GET WHAT? And that is when she EXPLAINED to me the SIMPLICITY of it all! She made ME LOOK at SILPADA as a BUSINESS, not a HOBBY. She said “Ginny all you have to do is book 2 shows a week and Recruit 1 Rep a month and if you do your business will be in a different place next year”. I thought that is SIMPLE, and I Can do it! So between, D, L S and by BFF Lisa I FOUND my VISION and set out to BOOK 2 shows a week and 1 recruit a month… And I have never stopped since! So Find your VISION EARLY , don’t WAIT like I did. The SOONER the BETTER! I Thought… that’s easy, I can do it! Leann Mallot – gave me the challenge Sue Rusch- Gave me the Plan Doug showed me the numbers – 50,000 plan Best friend ,Lisa made me realize this is not about ME it’s about helping others! Sue Rush was RIGHT my business was in a different place the following year implementing her plan! Learned my Second business lesson: “Share the Opportunity with everyone!”
  • LESSON 2: Share the Opportunity with Everyone My 1 st Recruit was my BF Lisa Fischer, who recruited herself! She YELLED at me after her 1 st month for not Sharing the OPP with her SOONER! She told me because of her Silpada business, her 3 boys were all in sports because they could AFFORD it for the 1 st time EVER! This is when the Light BULB went ON for me! I thought how many others have I missed along the way? This company is LIFE CHANGING for people and I have done a DISSERVICE to many! I made the DECISION then, “ Everyone Deserves to Know about the OPP, What they Choose to do with it is up to them” I Implemented the 3 FEET RULE- anyone that close, know what I do… I was Not PUSHY, just INFORMATIVE I got my FAMILY and FRIENDS to help – Why do it ALONE? I ASKED for REFERRALS – I believe the world is about helping one another and Anyone I do business with, I ASKED them to HELP. I Worked the 21 DAY Challenge CONSISTENTLY and Learned the 80/20 Rule 20% of the people to 80% of the work, so I FIGURED I had to Share the Opportunity MORE than LESS to find the WORKERS!! One of my favorite quotes is by Michael Jordan who says: “ You miss 100% of the shots, you choose not to take!” You see, I don’t want to miss any Shots…. Do YOU?
  • Lesson 2: Behind every “No” is a “Yes” 33 “Nos” 1 “Yes” is ….My Story. I have gone down in Silpada HISTORY for it! This is by far, the BIGGEST Business Lesson I learned EARLY on that kept me going and got me to where I am today! One year in, I could not get any bookings. Met with Jerry who told me, “Ginny, you are not going to like what I have to say, but you just have to go home and make more calls until you get the one YES” He said It’s the one YES that will keep your business going and you will forget about all the NO’s Jerry was right! “Behind every No is a YES. You just have to keep ASKING until you get it!” So you can Imagine once your there you never wanted to GO there again,. I figured out what I needed to do…. Just ASK Everyone and Eventually someone will say YES! I learned some days are harder than others (Last week I called 72 people and in are business it’s 10 calls to one booking and stats proved right. I now have 7 shows on my books for March)
  • It’s the one YES that will keep your business going and you will forget about all the NO’s Since I never wanted to GO there again, I figured out what I needed to do Just ASK Everyone! people you meet , people at your shows, everyone!
  • Compensation: Look what this company has provided me thru the years Confidence: I can say: “I am a Business Woman” Friendship It started with the jewelry but has become so much more! I have Silpada sisters in all 50 states and say if I was ever stranded in an airport I could call any of them to take me in!
  • Now this slide BLOWS me away! I look back and can’t believe all the wonderful things my Silpada business has paid for my family and me. CASH FOR A CAR, l’ll never forget writing out a check at the dealership for $45,000, knowing because of my commission check that month it was paid for! I BUILT my DREAM HOME this year! I tell all my Silpada sisters that every time they come in they need to sign a brick because with out them it would of never happened! COLLEGE ACCOUNTS established for my girls. I cannot wait to tell them someday that they can CHOOSE the college of their choice and it will be paid for! VACATIONS- we&apos;ve been able to take them YEARLY now because of Silpada and even benefit from the free ones with Silpada SOAR. We have SAVINGS in the bank and Live a DEBT Free Life - What MORE could anyone ASK for? I think back to when I started as a STAY AT HOME MOM just wanting some EXTRA CASH and BIG PEOPLE time AND THINK…. Who would of ever thought, 8 years later that my FAMILY would LIVE SOLELY off my Silpada INCOME and my that my HUSBAND would be WORKING for me!
  • When I started I had NO CONFIDENCE in myself how to BOOK A SHOW, SELL JEWELRY, RECRUIT or even LEAD A TEAM. But what I FOUND was the MORE people I ASKED, the MORE shows I booked. When it came to selling: I FOUND The more I MODELED looks and played DRESS UP at PARTIES the BETTER I got at selling! (People would say I’ve been to other HS, but they have never done this, You’re really good ) Same with RECRUITING, I never knew what I saying was the Right thing, but I FOUND when I shared my EXCITEMENT about this Opportunity, people would LISTEN. And when I became a LEADER, I FOUND when I COACHED and HELD meetings people would Come, Learn and RETURN! (so I figured I was doing something right and became a more confident leader) So Know, if you were LIKE ME and LACKED Confidence when you STARTED…. it’s OKAY . I Stumbled learned thru EXPERIENCES and I FIGURED it out along the way. It’s like anything you do, the more you PRACTICE, the BETTER you get and the CONFIDENCE comes.
  • I FOUND Life Long FRIENDSHPS Across the US on my Silpada Journey and so has my HUSBAND! All it takes is Making ONE SOAR trip and the MEN are HOOKED! It’s amazing how SUPPORATIVE they become with your business when they REAP the Rewards! I look at these pictures and think this is a HUGE part of my WHY! I just can’t IMAGINE my life with out these woman in it. I think we can all RELATE in this room and say because of the CULTURE that B &amp; T INSTILLED in all us from the BEGINING that we are FAMILY, a Silpada SISTERHOOD all here to HELP and SUPPORT one another that makes us a UNIQUE group of woman. I THINK… How could anyone NOT want to be apart of it!
  • Lesson 4: Consistency is Key! I believe this is TICKET to my success. Everyone always says “you are where you are because you got into Silpada from the beginning.” Well, there is nothing FURTHER from the truth. Consistency overtime, has gotten me to where I am today. Remember, there is NO SECRET to my Success. Anyone can do what I’m doing, if they are DEDICATED to their business and CONSISTENT with their work.
  • No magic or secret, just work your business and something is always happening with it within the next 30, 60 or 90 days. Schedule training and giving people the time and tools they need to be successful- Everyone needs to be held ACCOUNTABLE! 80/20 – Learning who to work with and who not to waste your time on. Teach Duplication- Have a system in place to make it easy for one to duplicate! Balance-“ The more structure you add to your calendar, the more flexibility you will gain in your life.” Schedule Youself! Benefits of scheduling success : Get Rid of Guilt Become more Efficient Achieve Your Goals Reduce Stress in Your Life Better Family Life Your business Grows Time for you!
  • Lesson 5: Treat your business like a business I REALIZED along the way that I OWNED this business, I am in CHARGE, If I don’t Work, NOTHING happens in my business.
  • The Road Map to my Success- Set Goals, Develop an Action Plan, Calendar It and Celebrated your SUCCESS! Every year I set Goals. I learned without goals you have nothing to strive for and no direction. Goals are essential to keep you challenged and motivated and need to be revisited every 6 months! So you REMIND yourself and ASK yourself what do you want out of your business this year? When the last time you re-visited your goals? I found it was necessary to set up an ACTION PLAN to accomplish my goals. Writing them down is one thing but doing them is another! How many shows per month? How many recruits per month? How many contacts each day? Do I have ENOUGH time scheduled? To get it all done? Which leads me to CALENDARING my time – When will I work? Starts with listing your Priorities – How do you want to spend your time? With Family, Exercise, Religion, Hobbies, Friends and WORK For me, it all started with Scheduling Business Hours 1 st and next I worked everything around them: This is hard for people in Direct Sales because you not only work from your home but for yourself! There is no one to hold you accountable but YOURSELF! I find people are at one side of the pendulum or the other. When you work yourself and home. You EITHER…..Work all the time, never stop because there is always work to be done and its easy to do since your office is in your home (Like I did) OR you don’t work ENOUGH because you work from home and have too many distractions, cleaning, laundry, phone calls etc.. Scheduling business hours – putting them on voicemail, and in my email signature gave me the REALITY check! YES, I do have a job , I own it, and run it! (? Keeping this here I’m a business woman and people RESPECT me more for it!!!! People quickly realized… This was not my Hobby, this was my CAREER! It made me WORK when I said I was going to work….M W Coach /Tue Thursday my business building days and Fridays I take off – Why? Because I can, I work for myself!!! When I implemented BUSINESS HRS and I WORKED when I said I was going to WORK, I ACCOMPLISHED more, found BALANCE in my life and had lot’s of Success to CELEBRATE! I feel lucky…..Some people HAVE to work and others WANT to work… I WANT to work, when you have PASSION and LOVE for what you do makes it easy and fun! In Celebration of my Success I learned to say: ” I AM A BUSINESS WOMAN” and FOUND people RESPECTED me MORE for it. The ROAD MAP TO SUCCESS IS…..Plan your work and work your plan….. that’s what I do!
