Short of becoming a dysfunctional glutton of information, most of us try to get things done and be informed to perform in our work. Information overload is only a matter of consumption means and perspective. The fact is, every living organism is well suited to perform admirably in information overload. So, why are humans so worried about being overwhelmed when it comes to data? We, too, manage to sort through the information coming our way – information that is natural, that is. Our brain is equipped to scan our environment as it ignores known patterns and focuses on anomalies that help us learn and seek primal opportunities. In this session, we will explore a new way to consume information that leverages natural human cognitive abilities in order to achieve awareness about what is going on from Big Data.
