  2. 2. Geography <ul><li>Italy is located in Southern Europe. It is shaped like a boot. Italy is surrounded by France, Switzerland, and Austria to the North. It is surrounded by the Adriatic Sea, Tyrrhenian Sea, and Mediterranean Sea. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Food in Italy <ul><li>In Italy they eat their main meal in the afternoon and it always includes pasta. They also love cheese in Italy such as mozzarella and parmesan. Olive oil is an important ingredient in Italian cooking. </li></ul><ul><li>Espresso is like coffee but a little stronger. It is served in a small cup. </li></ul><ul><li>There are all different kinds of pizza. Most have a thin crust. </li></ul><ul><li>Gelato is Italian ice-cream. </li></ul>

The celebration usually starts 8 days before Christmas and last for 12 days after Christmas. </li></ul><ul><li>FERRAGOSTO is one of the most celebrated holidays. It is celebrated on August 15 th. All of Italy is shut down and there are celebrations in the street. </li></ul><ul><li>All Saints Day takes place on November 2 nd . It celebrates all Catholic Saints. </li></ul>
