  1. 1. ANIMYBRIDGE Our Proposal “ The situation from an animator point of view is dramatic. There isn’t a market, but just festivals and the thematic channels on the web are foreigners. A possible solution? I don’t have one…I think that there is no more a culture of the animation as an expressive medium in Italy.” Hermes Mangialardo, Italian animator.

  3. 3. Objectives <ul><li>Implementing a successful business model. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing a market. </li></ul><ul><li>Stimulating the demand. </li></ul><ul><li>Creating a community. </li></ul><ul><li>Being a node in the value creation process. </li></ul>

Users <ul><li>Basic : free registration, limited space to upload shorts (400MB every month), 5 views every 15 days. </li></ul><ul><li>Plus : annual or monthly fee to promote indipendent animated shorts (10 GB monthly), unlimited views. </li></ul><ul><li>Schools/Producers : annual fee to have their own channel to promote their animated works. </li></ul>

Creative Commons <ul><li>You are free to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work. </li></ul><ul><li>Attribution : You must give the original author credit. </li></ul><ul><li>Non-Commercial : You may not use this work for commercial purposes. </li></ul><ul><li>No Derivative Works : You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work. </li></ul>

Contests <ul><li>Two contest: on June and on December. </li></ul><ul><li>Three categories: Students, Professional Producers, Users Plus. </li></ul><ul><li>Rewards are: </li></ul><ul><li>- win a scholarship </li></ul><ul><li>- money </li></ul><ul><li>- partecipation to a festival </li></ul><ul><li>financing a project </li></ul>

Connection with festivals <ul><li>Partnerships with some main animation festivals around the world to: </li></ul><ul><li>promote visibility of our website within the animation community, </li></ul><ul><li>promote the festival in our website, </li></ul><ul><li>create a channel with some festival’s shorts that otherwise can’t have a distribution. </li></ul>

Experimental/Narrative Animated Shorts <ul><li>Experimental: shorts having mainly an artistic approach, pursuing an innovated and alternative visual and audio representation. </li></ul><ul><li>Narrative: shorts having a plot with characters experiencing a fictional sequents of events. </li></ul>
