Risk Control Taken
Making sure the models
are aware of the tripod
and the camera and keep
an eye on them to make
sure they don’t knock in to
it – making sure it’s stable
so it doesn’t fall over
either.
Checking the weather
forecast before I plan to
take the photographs to
ensure that there will be
no flooding and no rain.
Again checking the
forecast for any signs of
snow/sleet or ice – if it’s
just ice, making sure that
the models wear adequate
clothing (especially shoes)
Fountains Abbey is a
natural environment with
steep hills and a lot of mud
– ensuring the safety of
the models, myself,
camera and tripod – I will
need to find safer,
alternate routes for us to
take
As fountains Abbey has a
road running all the way
through it – I’ll have to
make sure that there are
no passing cars when
crossing over these roads
– especially because of
the mud and how easy it is
to trip

What Health and Safety legislation might you need to consider in this project?
There is not a particular safety legislation that is applicable to this project – however,
if I was a freelance photographer doing the same sort of activity I would have
insurance covering certain areas to ensure that any damage or accidents are
covered.
