Game Overview <ul><li>Cargo Delivery is a 2D scrolling game, with one primary mechanic, the delivery of cargo from one port to another </li></ul><ul><li>IndieCade 2010 finalist, created by CatsintheSky </li></ul><ul><li>Catsinthesky created games previously, indie style games with simple mechanics but detailed artwork. </li></ul><ul><li>Each successful delivery results in extra cash </li></ul>
  3. 3. Interface and Gameplay <ul><li>Primarily a mouse interface, with some keyboard shortcuts. </li></ul><ul><li>Drag and drop type interface </li></ul><ul><li>Physics based </li></ul>
  4. 4. Initial Impression <ul><li>Very good tutorial system initially – gorgeous artwork slightly confuses player initially. </li></ul><ul><li>Tutorial system does not go into detail – encourages exploration of options, but can be annoying when something unexpected occurs. </li></ul><ul><li>Animation very simple, consisting of 2-3 looped frames for most animated objects, and no animation for the rest. </li></ul>

Gameplay <ul><li>Load cargo according to the current goal (transport xxx kg, or xxx amount) </li></ul><ul><li>Different types of cargo with different attributes, light, heavy, fragile, alive (moves) </li></ul><ul><li>Uses rope/chains etc to lash together cargo </li></ul><ul><li>Straight course, left to right, obstacles along the way (weather, flying fish, whale) </li></ul><ul><li>Objective of the game: Build Rufus’ boat project (levels can be repeated until this is accomplished) </li></ul><ul><li>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qAKawI0kiU&feature=related </li></ul>
