Adding an Assignment
1) Open the course to which you would like to add the forum and click the Turn editing on button
2) Select the week/topic where the forum is to be located and click Assignment
3) This will take you to the “Adding a new assignment” box as below.

4) Provide a name and a description for your assignment:
The name you provide will be displayed in the course space. The description field is where you can
compose or paste your instructions for the assignment itself.
Next, specify the grading scale:
Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate grade value for your assignment - or choose No
grade if you don't want to provide any grade. The assignment tool asks for two different dates:

Maximum size specifies the largest file size allowed. The maximum is currently 2 MB.
Allow resubmitting allows you to give your students the option of resubmitting their assignments.
By default, this is set to No.
Email alerts to instructors will allow you to receive an email notification whenever an assignment
has been submitted.
Don’t forget if you are unsure, click the “help” icon for more information about each function.
5) Click on the “Save and Return” to course button
Your Assignment will then appear on you course, as below.
