No notes for slide
• Moved notes to eliminate empty presentation slides (In each of the powerpoint presentations I was sent, there were several blank presentation slides that had notes on them. In most cases, the notes were continuations from the previous slide. They were probably put onto a blank slide to make printouts more consistent. I moved the notes to the preceding page so there wouldn't be any blank slides during the actual presentation) * Removed animation from the presentation slides (Some of the slides had elaborate animation schemes on them. However, they didn't play well when combined with the audio recordings, so I went through and removed them, creating static slides that were more appropriate for the presentation medium.) * Added audio to the presentation slides * Created quizzes for each chapter (I decided not to use any of the quiz materials provided by Gene's group. Most of the questions in their materials were written in the form "Which of the following is NOT ....". I've been part of the creation of many IBM certification exams, and one thing we are always told is to avoid negative questions like that. Additionally, many of their questions would have answers like a) i, iv, and v b) i, ii, and v .... , very confusing and hard to follow.) * Created a midterm and final exam (The midterm covered chapters 1-10, and the final covered chapters 11-21. Both included a machine scored section as well as a short-answer / essay section.) * Created two hands-on exercises * Adapted presentations to iLearn environment (created assignments, converted presentation to pps and Impatica format, extracted notes to a separate file)
