Purpose of communication <ul><li>Communication is about sending and receiving information. </li></ul><ul><li>It is an important part of management. </li></ul><ul><li>It is important to note that communication is not complete until understanding has taken place. </li></ul><ul><li>Businesses also communicate to inform the outside world of their products or services in order to sell them. </li></ul>

Oral (Verbal) Communication <ul><li>This is communication using spoken word. </li></ul><ul><li>This is the most frequent used method of communication </li></ul><ul><li>An advantage of this is that feedback is immediate. </li></ul><ul><li>Oral communication can take 2 forms: </li></ul>ORAL COMMUNICATION face-to-face non face-to-face
