  • Establish the fact that the marketplace is undoubtedly changing, increasingly businesses are looking at global reach, we indeed see several macro economic shifts and therefore it is becoming evident that the Customer is seeking solutions that can deliver wider coverage, grow…
  • In 2006, the Economist Intelligence Unit delivered a research report commissioned by Cisco based on interviews with 1650 executives from around the world on their views how companies, and the environment in which they operate would change over the next 15 years.   The findings show that business leaders believe the fundamentals will matter as much as ever — a clear strategy, top-notch management and high quality products and services are seen as critical as ever — but key differences also emerged from the report.  Low cost will matter less as a source of differentiation. What’s more, the value of price competitiveness to customers is expected to decline relative to other factors, such as PERSONALIZATION of products and quality of services.   The shift will be even more profound in the year 2020 The next year promises to be an interesting time for business. The world’s major economies and emerging markets are transforming. Revenues from driving greater efficiencies out of production processes and automating transactions are diminishing. It's apparent that the future profits won't be driven by the ability to deliver faster, better, and cheaper products. Growing revenue is less about low price, cheap production & efficient transactions and increasingly more about personalization and customer loyalty.
  • Clearly Customers are expressing the top most need to go closer to the customer; grow the business to compete globally
  • As market transitions evolve, so does our product line and product offerings – all to best meet customer needs. Over time, Cisco has evolved from Enterprise and Service Provider solutions to addressing customer needs in many other segments including Small, Consumer and Commercial. The network has truly become the platform for providing one seamless, transparent customer experience. Enhancing life experiences and capabilities in Information, Freedom of use, Communications and Entertainment. As a result, Cisco and Cisco technology is changing the way we work, live, play and learn.
  • Another differentiator for Cisco is our internal innovation, acquisition strategy and partner approach. The ability to innovate has become the harbinger of success and sustainability for the modern corporation. Of all of the companies on the Fortune 500 in 1965, only 19% remain on this prestigious list today [1] – those who were able to successfully innovate and reinvent themselves Cisco is dedicated to innovation as the path to growth and sustainability of our market leadership position. The Company takes a broad approach to innovation that includes multiple strategies – from developing new technologies and designing new products, to starting new business models, pursuing acquisitions and investments, and partnering with other companies for business, technology and go-to-market requirements. [1] Source: Fortune
  • Strategic alliances partner = multi-faceted relationship, involving technology collaboration with multiple Cisco Business Units, go-to-market, joint investment, resale and other dimensions Channel partners, by contrast, are typically focused on reselling and delivering Cisco solutions. Many of Cisco’s strategic alliance partners are also channel partners, in addition to working with Cisco on multiple technology development and go-to-market projects. Technology developer or marketing partners (that are not strategic alliance partners) tend to work with Cisco on a focused technology or target customer segment. In order to become a strategic alliance partner, a company tends to have to meet the following criteria as determined by Cisco’s strategic alliance organization: Significant top-line growth potential for both parties Market acceleration capabilities: Either accelerate Cisco’s entry in a new market or significantly grow share in an existing market Breadth and depth of relationship (across multiple Cisco Business Units and functions) Top-level organizational commitment, significant financial commitment Alignment with Cisco strategic direction
  • Clearly our partner strategy as you can see is moving the Customer Value Add grid and the profits rising in parallel We have moved with market conditions changing and transforming the way businesses work.
  • This is the slide whre we set the context of the event ‘Alliance World 2009” by stating how Cisco and Wipro has strategically aligned with each other to deliver business value. In just a few moments, I’ll be joined by Wipro’s Achuthan Nair who’ll be able to tell you more about his organization. 72,000 employees, 50-60 offices
  • In just a few moments, I’ll be joined by Wipro’s Achuthan Nair who’ll be able to tell you more about his organization. 72,000 employees, 50-60 offices We’ve been working with Wipro for more than a decade on many different fronts (mention) Mention joint customer engagements … either specifically by name (if we can) or in general terms.
  • Cisco’s Strategic Initiatives focus on Network being the platform to create unique user experiences. This slide clearly indicates the complete portfolio of our integrated offering to this market. My colleagues will do a deep dive in two focused areas; Unified Communications and Data Center in the subsequent sessions
  • Cisco Unified Communications delivers a compelling ROI. The overall value and ROI of Unified Communications is the sum of the cost savings and productivity benefits. Customers initially focus on and realize cost savings - TCO benefits (e.g. transport savings, simplified infrastructure) … Rich-media communications deployment also leads to greater cost savings as conferencing applications can be run more efficiently over converged networks with more experience and with increased their Unified Communications deployment – Unified Communications Manager and Integrated IP Applications, such as rich-media communications - companies realize productivity increases (e.g. more easily working across internal and external boundaries, decreasing time to market) and are able to transform their business
  • We’ve been working with Wipro for more than a decade on many different fronts (mention) Mention joint customer engagements … either specifically by name (if we can) or in general terms.
