Why?
“ au” + season for “printemps”
“ en” + season for été, hiver and automne

Pourquoi???
Hiver, été and automne all begin with vowels or vowel sounds. Use “en” to say “ in the …” + season
Printemps is the only season that begins with a consonant. Use “au” to say “ in the ”.
