What is a hash tag?
Think of hash tags as keywords that enable content to be searched and aggregated into the relevant
categories. This helps other people find content they’re interested in. Using a hash tag on twitter is
easy. Simply search for the hash tag term. To tag your content just type the relevant hash tag into
the body of the tweet – eg #BSSOSS will let other people interested in BSS/OSS find your tweet.
If you set up new telecoms-related hash tags for niches you’re interested in, then please let us know
so we can tell other telecoms professionals about your tag and keep the tagging system
standardised. This will improve the efficiency of the system for everyone. Send details of your tag
and what it’s for to dc@babworth.com. When setting up a new tag keep it as short as possible, but
label accurately to avoid it getting mixed up with subjects of similar names but very different subject
matters.
The telecoms hash tag directory will be updated monthly and the new tags that have been added
