  3. 3.  Winter is cold. Children dress warmly to play in the snow. Cool and dry wind blows from North to South. Animals head to their winter homes. It remains from December to Feb.
  4. 4.  Long, hot days. Summer fruit and vegetables are ready to be picked. You see many bees and butterflies fly flower to flower. It remains from March to May Hot and dry wind called LOO
  5. 5.  It begins in the month of June and remains till September. The wind blow from Arabian Sea and bay of Bengal towards the land carry moisture with them and falls
  6. 6.  Winds move back from the mainland to the Bay of Bengal Southern part of India receives rainfall. It remains for two months that is October and November
  7. 7.  The climate of a place is affected by its location and distance from the Sea. Jaisalmer in the desert of Rajasthan is very hot while Drass and Kargil in Jammu are Freezing cold. Mumbai and Kolkata faces Moderate climate. Mawsynram in Meghalaya receives the worlds highest rainfall at the same time in Jaisalmer it might not rain
  8. 8.  The grasses, shrubs and trees, which grow on their own without interference from human beings are called NATURAL VEGETATION Due to varied climatic conditions, India has a vide range of Natural vegetation such as Tropical, Mountain vegetation, Thorny and Mangrove forest.
  9. 9.  1:- Tropical Evergreen forest or Rainforest. 2:- Tropical Deciduous forest. 3:- Thorny Bushes. 4:- Mountain Vegetation and 5:- Mangrove forests. FIRST OF ALL LET US SEE What is Tropical forest and why are they called so ?
  10. 10.  Almost all Tropical Forests lie between two imaginary lines North and South of the Equator called the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn That is why they are called Tropical forest or Tropical rainforest That area can be seen in the WORLD MAP.
  11. 11. Trees which are found are ,Mahogany, Ebony and Rosewood. Andaman and Nicobar,North- eastern states and narrow strip of Western Ghats are home of these forests.
  12. 12. Rose wood Mahogany EbonyRosewood is used for costly show pieces and for shade. Ebony’s seed is an alternative of coffee and of ornaments also.

  14. 14.  THESE FORESTS ARE ALSO CALLED MONSOON FORESTS THEY SHED THEIR LEAVES TIMELY, THEY ARE LESS DENSE. THE IMPORTANT ARE S AL, TEAK, TREES PEEPAL, AND NEEM. NORMALLY FOUND IN M.P. U.P. & BIHAR.NOW we will see the trees of SAL, PEEPAL and NEEM

  16. 16. THORNY BUSHES This type of vegetation is found in dry areas of the country. The leaves are in the form of spines to reduce the loss of water. For Example :- Cactus, Babul and Khair and Jujuba.These trees are found in Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat. Some more figures of Thorny bushes->->-> Its fruitsJUJUBA
