    • How do you feel about being named a finalist in the 2010 Tech Awards?
      “In the past year, Searchandise Commerce has been focused on growing our network, providing value for our advertising base and developing a solution that can scale with the demands of today’s retailers and product marketers. MITX’s nomination of HitList, for the second year within the competitive online advertising category, further validates the time, effort and innovation we bring to the market.”
    • If you could describe your innovation in one succinct sentence, how would you describe yourself?
      Searchandise Commerce is the first online media network allowing product manufacturers to boost visibility through cost-per-click bids and retailers to generate an incremental revenue stream via those clicks.
    • How was your company founded, and what inspired its creation?
       
      Searchandise Commerce was founded in July 2008 by an executive team with extensive advertising, retail, search and high-tech experience. The inspiration was taking the proven technique of in-store merchandising and combining it with paid search tactics.
    • What makes your company different from other companies in your market space?
      Searchandise Commerce has no direct competitors that manage placement in site-side search. If a competitor enters the market, we still have the advantage of a first-to-market solution and the business relationships we have already created.
    • What has been your company's greatest accomplishment in the past year?
      Company growth is our greatest accomplishment in the past year. We’ve increased our network from approximately 131 million visitors per month to 290 million and just secured $7 million in funding.
    • What is your greatest asset?
      Our team is our greatest asset. The sales and business development teams work closely with our technical and operational teams to run a creative and efficient company while maintaining a unique value proposition and meeting market demand.
