How do you feel about being named a finalist in the 2010 Tech Awards? The MITX Awards showcase the most innovative companies and technologies in New England, and we are honored to be recognized for our achievements in consumer marketing. MITX enables New England companies and technologies to shine, and we're happy to be associated with such a great organization.
If you could describe your innovation in one succinct sentence, how would you describe yourself? The JitterJam platform is a unique combination of social marketing tools, analytics and an intelligent contact database that provides businesses with the ability to manage the complete consumer trust cycle—from initial touch to engagement and from engagement to advocacy.
How was your company founded, and what inspired its creation?
JitterJam was created to address the pain that companies, brands and agencies are experiencing in managing social marketing efforts: their inability to collect and unify their contacts and outreach across social media, email and mobile; their inability to see tangible value and return from their social engagements; and their inability to discover and develop trusted relationships with people on the real-time web. What inspired its creation were the comments from local businesses about the complexity of managing their disparate email, mobile and social marketing efforts and lists and their inability to manage it all easily and with a single, unified tool.
What makes your company different from other companies in your market space? JitterJam unifies and streamlines contacts and communications across multiple channels and provides businesses and agencies with the tools to discover, develop and grow social conversations into trusted relationships. JitterJam automatically imports social contacts and immediately begins to build intelligence about their interests and their level of engagement. It searches through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, email lists and other external communications, gathers and stores relevant conversations and makes them actionable. It's a full marketing platform that enables multi-channel communications and provides immediate campaign feedback and measurement. JitterJam is a significant advancement over the single-purpose marketing and social analytics tools on the market today; while other tools focus only on the conversations, JitterJam also focuses on the customer.
What has been your company's greatest accomplishment in the past year? We went from idea to full commercial availability in less than nine months. Since our commercial launch, we have attracted local, regional and national brands and companies and marketing, PR and advertising agencies as customers.
What is your greatest asset? Our people. We have built a cohesive and collaborative team that has quickly responded to a market need in a unique and powerful way. We're proud of what we've accomplished, and we're looking to do so much more!
