The problems of teenagers The problems of teenagers Presentation Transcript

  • The P roblems of T eenagers
    • Hi my name is Lera Susoeva. Please help yourself to coffee and tea while we are waiting for everyone to arrive.
    • Well, now let’s start…
    • To begin with all people have problems. Some of them have many problems, the others have one or two problems only. Young people have as many problems as the grown-ups. Do you remember those problems, which you had being a teenage? I hope so. No doubt you faced with certain problems, and I suggest paying a peculiar attention to them.
    • Perhaps, you ask me, why I have chosen such a topic. It’s quite simple. There is not a shadow of doubt that these problems are problems of today. You yourself had such problems, your familiar s or maybe your children in the future will face with them. So, making things clear in this matter can be very useful to you, can’t it?
    • Well, I’ll get you know with my presentation (sincerely hope it wouldn’t be so boring) and after that you’ll be given a chance to ask me some questions or simply have a break.
    • There are many young people in our country. Teenagers are a group of young people of the age of thirteen – nineteen years old.
    • I’m eighteen so I belong to that group. There are many problems, which are common for all young people. For example: how to spend free time, what to do after finishing school, how to deal with the classmates and parents.
    • The problem number one is the problem of fathers and sons. All teens want to be independent, we don’t like when our parents try to rule every step of our life. Our parents don’t like our clothes and our music. They often try to treat us like small children. But if you really want to solve this problem you must try to understand each other.
    • Moreover they give not much money, and we hardly can find a job because in our age we cannot be responsible for money of firm or do some kinds of job. And there is a great problem: parents also always doubt in our independence.
    • Our age – is time of making a choice what we will be in future, what we want to do and how. So we have to choose the university to have better education and future profession.
    • Emotional problems for young people can be far more difficult than financial ones. The typical teenager problem is that “nobody understands me”. Youth is also the time to meet your first love. It is of coarse wonderful but as it is widely known that first love often has an unhappy end. This also increases young people’s problems.
    • Even friends cannot always stay friends when young people begin to understand themselves a little bit better old friends sometimes just grow apart. And sometimes you have problems in communicating with each other and you even stay alone.
    • Some teens begin smoking and drinking alcohol to show that they are grown-ups already. This will lead to poor health in future (especially for girls). And sometimes they use drugs not because of that they want. And it often leads to bad ends.
    • To sum up problems of teenagers are extremely urgent. It’s very difficult to be young nowadays as indeed it always was. But you only can be young ones and some wonderful things can happen to you only when you’re young. So it’s better to enjoy youth while it lasts.
    • Thank you for attention!
    • Now you have a chance to ask me your questions or discuss some points of the presentation with me…
    • Good luck!
