They were called fleis and they were divided into two types: line dances and round dance </li></ul><ul><li>The Middle ages were the most prosperous time for Irish dances, when the first dancing groups appeared and the most traditional figures were created. </li></ul>
  3. 3. The most common types of Irish dances <ul><li>Hard-shoes </li></ul><ul><li>Treble-jig </li></ul><ul><li>Stump-dances </li></ul><ul><li>Hornpipe </li></ul><ul><li>Soft-shoes </li></ul><ul><li>Slip jig, light jig </li></ul><ul><li>Reel </li></ul><ul><li>St. Patrick's Day </li></ul>
