    • Advent is a time of preparation for the feast of Christmas. In Christianity, Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve.
    • The colour of Advent is violet .
    • The period of Advent, began on 11 November at St. Martin’s day and strictly as Lent. Advent is seen as a time refraining from celebrations and festivals.

    • - i n Advent, we make and place the Advent wreath on the table, with four candles. It symbolizes the four Sundays in Advent .

    • Croatian word Christmas is actually its miniature word of God, is taken as the name of the holiday season, and shows that on this day God is born - Jesus. Christmas is a Christian holiday that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

    • Hay under the table for children to play.
    • Red apples as ornaments and candles.
    • Christmas wreath and mistletoe.

    • - we seed the wheat on the feast of Lucija (13th December) so it can grow green on Christmas Eve
    • - seeding of wheat, which in Catholic symbolism, represents life, invokes God's blessing on the family, the coming year and crops

    • I like Christmas because we are all together, I get presents, and because we all together decorate the Christmas tree and have fun. I would like for others that they can spend Christmas with family.
