  • 3. Project Summary  Single player twitch arcade game for the Microsoft Surface RT  Created in 10 weeks by 2 devs and 1 artist  A game designed around popping kernels and gathering popcorn using the swipe mechanic
  • 4. What is Popcorn Panic?  Swipe kernels against the edge of the pot to pop them, then swipe the bag in to collect the popcorn  Kernels and popcorn burn if left too long
  • 5. Not Juicy Enough?  Screen Shake  We added power-ups:  Chocolate Kernel  Freeze Kernel  Kettle Kernel
  • 6. Core Gameplay Loop  Swipe kernels to pop them  Swipe the bag to collect

  • 13. Before....  We used to be Kernel Panik, but we liked Popcorn Panic better  Used to be just tap to pop kernels and that's it  However, we were told it was too simple so we juiced it up.
