    If you didn’t take the hint of the previous slides and you want to do it yourself here are some other tips
    Always have a positive attitude to the task – if you don’t it will come across in your voice and tone
    Be straight to the point, don’t waffle, and don’t ask ‘how are you today?’

    Keep it simple – don’t overload them with too much information
    Think about who you are calling – put yourself in their shoes, what do they want to hear, think about what’s best for them not you.
    2 ears 1 mouth – use them in that order
    Be confident and Assertive but not pushy
    Respect the receptionist/PA help them do their job give them a reason to put your call through.
    Don’t get Fobbed off – these people have a need for your service.

    Listen out for companies that say the following:
    “I haven’t got enough work”
    “ I need more appointments”
    “I haven’t got time to generate more work”
    “I hate cold calling”
    Then give them my card and say I can help or tell them you know someone who can help and pass me their card
