About CrossCulTourCrossCulTour stands for „Crossmarketing-Strategies in Culture and Tourism“CrossCulTour is a follow-up project of „Transromanica“ (2003 – 2006)In 2007, TRANSROMANICA has officially been recognised as „EuropeanCultural Route“ by the Council of EuropeFacts and Figures:• Duration: December 2008 – November 2011• Within the EU Central Europe Programme (Territorial Cooperation INTERREG - ERDF)• Area of Intervention: Capitalising on Cultural Resources for More Attractive Cities and Regions• Total budget of all partners: 2.3 Mio. €

Objectives of the project CrossCulTour• Preservation and promotion of cultural sites and landscapes by means of an appropriate cross-marketing approach to cultural tourism• Making cultural destinations more competitive by establishing cooperation with small and medium sized enterprises• Opening access to markets and connecting disadvantaged regions with cultural centres by using innovative communication technologies• Increase in employment and income• Creation of a stronger regional and European identity for 7.6 million citizens from partner regions based on common cultural-historic roots

Offers for citizens and academicsFree Summer School „Architecture and Symbolism – History and Marketing Strategies“ The second Summer School at the University of Klagenfurt (Austria) takes place from 13th – 16th of September 2011.
