How will the change in economic climate affect us?
reduced public expenditure will hit us in ’09/10 and ’10/11
some students will struggle to get graduate employment
what we need to do, and what we are doing, is promote post-graduate study, enabling people to defer entry into the labour market and to gain a further post-graduate qualification which makes them more employable
new post-graduate programme in entrepreneurship, enterprise and employability will enhance student skills
Note reduced fees and bursary
It’s about deferral, about greater skills, and making sure the student is better prepared for the employment market in years to come
