2. Introduction
• All the available resources on Mango, Mangifera indica
provides only the general information and agricultural
practices (Mango Resources Information System , RainForest
Database ) .
• Providing morphological and fruit quality information of each
mango varieties to various stake holders of industry is
essential in the current information era
• With a view to integrate various resources a new venture
maze using MAGICdb – Mango Genetic stocks Identification
and Characterisation

3. Objective
• To provide an user friendly and organized method to store
and retrieval of the data of various users in the mango
industry .
• To locate the mango varieties and features on the real
location using the geolocation locator .

4. Material and Methods
• Data is organized into database in three layers.
1.First layer – User Interface
2.Second layer – Interface
3.Third layer – Database
• User interface is developed using HTML,CSS and JDK.
• Interface between the first and third layer is PHP (Hypertext
Pre Processor)
• Database is MySQL database, which is the most widely used
database.
• Morphological and Fruit quality data are collected from the
ten major commercial cultivars.

16. Conclusion
• MAGICdb is an organized database that provides the
information about the mango’s morphological, fruit quality
characters and marker data.
• On the other hand it provides mango processors, students
and, people of all community with a complete set of data to
know about the major cultivated commercial ten mango
cultivars.
• MAGICdb is one of its kinds to provide such information.
• The information about the other varieties will also be added
in the days to come.
