The wheel speaks on 2013 – reasonable doubt

  1. 1.   THE  WHEEL  SPEAKS  ON  2013  –  Reasonable  Doubt?     True  Journalistic  credibility  and  journalism  period,  in  these  modern  times  of  merit  is   something  we'll  rarely  come  into  contact  with.  Being  society  enables  anyone  to   rightfully  have  an  opinion  (myself  included).  I  on  occasion  have  even  mention  my   favorite  authors  poets  novelist  and  writers  even  doing  a  feature  as  THE  WHEEL   months  ago.  Recently  one  of  my  favorite  sports  journalist  the  controversial  sports   writer  Jason  Whitlock  wrote  a  feature  for  FOX.  Whitlock  it  should  be  noted  has  for   years  been  an  advocate  for  the  rights  of  minority  athletes  for  years  and  is  very   respected  and  has  been  on  a  national  level  for  decades.  Read  this  article  removing   whether  your  a  fan  especially  of  hip  hop  or  especially  Jay-‐Z  objectively  reading   Whitlock's  article.       Not  meant  to  start  a  debate  at  all  but  meant  definitely  to  raise  a  consciousness  in   particularly  at  how  possibly  many  in  this  society  perceive  the  African  American   athlete  in  general.  Not  as  I  have  mention  meant  to  start  a  debate  but  definitely   questions  will  be  delivered  from  many  even  outside  of  the  sports  culture   http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/jay-‐z-‐as-‐sports-‐agent-‐not-‐good-‐for-‐athletes-‐ or-‐sports-‐070913
  2. 2. Reasonable  doubt  one  might  say  and  many  won’t  challenge  the  assessment  but  let’s   analyze  this  thoroughly  having  an  open  mind.  The  combination  of  society  and  the   accessibility  of  social  media  environments  automatically  makes  a  professional   athletes  value  totally  different.  Although  there  have  been  ground  breaking  things   like  the  Rooney  Act  which  requires  mandatory  interviews  for  minorities  for  front   office  positions  in  the  National  Football  League.  And  of  course  the  firestorm  which  is   commonly  referred  to  as  branding  where  images  of  individuals  can  be  perceive  even   more  marketable  than  what  they  truthfully  are  maybe  here  in  this  instance  a  wise   man  (Jason  Whitlock)  might  need  to  maybe  rewind  his  thinking  on  this  article.     Jay-‐Z  as  an  entity  of  course  usually  brings  attention  to  everything  he  is  associated   with  and  it  can  be  perceive  as  if  he  as  Sean  Carter  has  move  into  the  genre  of  sports   representation  by  storm.  Jay-‐Z  is  an  employee  of  CAA  and  quite  cunningly  the   agency  has  release  the  mogul  into  the  sports  world  to  do  exactly  what  he’s  always   done  which  is  to  “spit  darts”  and  the  target,  every  athlete  who  stands  in  the  face  of   potential  millions  for  CAA.       Basically  Jay-‐Z  just  like  everyone  of  us  does  answer  to  someone  but  the  dangerous   thing  about  this  is  simple  sooner  or  later  Sean  Carter  will  find  out  exactly  what   people  like  Larry  Holmes  found  out  years  ago  in  boxing.  Jay-‐Z  has  been  doing  it  from   all  angles  cutting  out  the  middle-‐man  reminiscent  to  some  of  the  story  telling  tales   on  most  of  his  old  joints  written  especially  for  us  (yeah  you  know  what  I  am).  But   this  time  around  he’s  threading  in  dangerous  water  especially  when  you  talk  about   the  National  Football  League  and  it’s  culture  and  how  it  was  created  to  exploit  the   product  and  recoup  the  profits  by  specific  design.     The  National  Basketball  Association  will  never  let  me  repeat  never  generate  the   revenue  that  the  NFL  does  and  don’t  ever  be  under  the  impression  that  this  same   infiltration  will  ever  occur  in  the  worlds  most  lucrative  sports  league.  It’s  almost   ironic  that  one  of  sports  most  furor  like  visionaries  will  be  leaving  his  position  of   commissioner  (NBA’s  David  Stern).  The  change  was  apparently  coming  and  when   Stern’s  infamous  public  argument  with  Miami  Heat  star  guard  and  role  model  of   good  behavior  Dwayne  Wade  which  was  totally  left  out  of  the  headlines  turned  into   blatant  disrespect  and  Wade  was  referred  to  as  “a  boy”  in  a  crowded  arena  it  should   have  been  very  clear  even  then  to  all  professional  athletes  at  just  how  much  respect   African  American  athletes  will  never  have  point  blank.       Jay-‐Z  or  as  I  refer  to  him  since  I’ve  known  him  for  over  25  years  Sean  is  a  problem   and  the  playing  fields  totally  different  his  conquest  of  music  is  monumental  and   unprecedented  and  we’ll  never  see  it  again  executives  will  make  sure  of  that.  But   behind  close  doors  don’t  think  for  one  second  will  this  infiltration  be  as  smooth  and   glamorous.  Sports  associated  with  America  and  apple  pie  like  baseball  have  to  right   with  Jay-‐Z  because  they’re  starving  and  need  to  iconic  rock  star  like  mogul  to   breathe  life  into  it,  because  Magic  can’t  save  baseball  and  look  what  Jay-‐Z  did  just  by   wearing  a  Yankee  fitted,  yes  sir.  Sean  Carter  is  a  problem  and  this  year  you  better   believe  around  the  board  franchises  as  well  management  companies  for  once  will  be
  3. 3. in  agreement  of  one  thing  for  sure  and  that’s  without  any  Reasonable  Doubt  what  so   ever.     Be  careful  Sean  music  isn’t  football  and  there’s  no  Reasonable  Doubt  about  this  at  all   http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/12/jay-‐z-‐says-‐hes-‐a-‐problem-‐for-‐ agents/     Respectfully,   THE  WHEEL   (The  Way  Humanity/Hudson  Expects  Everyone  to  Live)     Also  be  sure  to  read  this  article:   Ex-‐coaches  Rooney  rule  is  broken   http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8903044/black-‐former-‐nfl-‐coaches-‐say-‐rooney-‐ rule-‐broken     Newsome  lone  bright  spot  in  an  NFL  struggling  with  diversity   http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/01/opinion/ozzie-‐newsome-‐nfl
