What is the Kids ＆ YouthInitiative?
The Kids & Youth Initiative is an educational program that uses videoconferencing and other tools to make it possible to enjoy cross-cultural communication and dialogue between faraway places.

What are the expected outcomes?
For Kids:
●exposure to various ways of thinking, deeper understanding of different cultures
●skill improvement in cross-cultural communication
For Teachers:
●enhanced knowledge and experience in information and technology (ICT) for education ●opportunities for discussion with experts on educational effects of cross-cultural communication

How does it work?
There are two methods for the Kids &Youth Initiative:
●participants exchange information on a specific theme at a single session of sharing
●participants work together on a project through multiple videoconferences

What is a videoconference?
Connecting different countries through the Internet, a videoconference is a major tool to promote communication with children abroad.
The World Bank GDLN is a partnership of over 120 centers in 80 countries.
