On May 7 HP announced Helion, a corporatewide cloud branding and go-to-market initiative. The new brand contains three initiatives: a single cloud architecture; pulling together HP’s cloud assets into one bucket for a one-stop experience for all HP cloud offerings for customers to build, operate and consume cloud services; and a single go-to-market organization for cloud sales and marketing across all HP business units. Taken together, Helion is HP’s all-in strategy that supersedes all previous cloud strategies and will receive over $1 billion in R&D investment over the next two years.
